SUMMARY:Undammed and Fire Tower
DESCRIPTION:Film in the Community\, a program of RMWF\, shares films monthly at locations around our city – free of charge. Join us in partnership with Bear Creek Nature Center for a afternoon of two fantastic short films\, Undammed and Fire Tower. \nUndammed\nAfter witnessing a massive fish kill on her ancestral home waters\, Yurok tribal attorney Amy Bowers Cordalis dedicated her life to reversing the generations-long destruction wrought by the Klamath River dams. Undammed follows her journey to free the Klamath\, from testifying before Congress to passing down fishing traditions within her young family. Now that the Klamath dams are finally coming down\, she remains confident that the future of her tribe is bright. \nDuration: 14 min. \nFire Tower\nGazing from one hundred feet above the forest\, FIRE TOWER draws us into the lookouts’ world and invites us to contemplate how solitude can inspire a different connection with nature\, community and our creativity. \nDuration: 47 min. \n\nDoors Open at 12:30pm\, Film begins at 1:00pm. Suggested $5 donation. All are welcome. \nRegister to Attend
