Film Catalog
As an ongoing commitment to build community around film, we welcome you to explore a catalog of titles that have been shown at the Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival over the last 38 years. These films celebrate the drive, spirit and diversity of women, while sharing the stories and experiences of those often unheard or unseen.

Mama Rwanda
MAMA RWANDA examines a new generation of Rwandan women whose passion for entrepreneurship is transforming Rwanda into one of the world’s fastest growing economies. A tale of working mothers who endured genocide, Mama Rwanda is a deeply intimate portrait of two women on journeys to build peace through prosperity creation.
Mankiller
MANKILLER examines the life and legacy of the formidable American hero, Wilma Mankiller, who defied all odds to become one of the most influential leaders in the United States. Mankiller overcame rampant sexism and personal challenges to emerge as the Cherokee Nation’s first woman Principal Chief in 1985. The film reunites the team of Gale Anne Hurd and Valerie Red-Horse Mohl for their third and most powerful documentary. Mankiller’s humble leadership style and her strength remind audiences of the true meaning of servant leadership and serves as a wake-up call to take action for positive change.
Marga en el DF
Set during the aftermath of Selena Quintanilla’s murder in 1995, Marga’s life and future take an unexpected turn at 21 weeks pregnant during a surprise visit to Mexico City.
Marina Abramović: The Artist is Present
Seductive, fearless, and outrageous, Marina Abramovic has been redefining what art is for nearly forty years. Using her own body as a vehicle, pushing herself beyond her physical and mental limits––and at times risking her life in the process––she creates performances that challenge, shock, and move us. Through her and with her, boundaries are crossed, consciousness expanded, and art as we know it is reborn. She is, quite simply, one of the most compelling artists of our time.
Martha and Ethel
Following World War II, in the midst of America’s new prosperity, many women willingly relinquished their mothering responsibilities to hired women. This film focuses on the lives of the filmmakers’ two nannies and reveals choices made by the parents and emotional reactions of the children.
Mary Oliver: Saved by the Beauty of the World
If poetry had a pop icon, it would be Mary Oliver – celebrated bestseller, Pulitzer Prize-winner, lover of dogs and the beauty of nature.

And if Anna’s decision implies a rupture in her relationship with Rebecca, she will find support where she least expects it.
