Vickie Curtis and Doug Anderson make their directorial debut with Comparsa. Vickie is known for her Emmy-winning writing of Netflix Originals The Social Dilemma and Chasing Coral. She explores the systemic roots of social and ecological crises, and the people working to rebuild. Vickie’s storytelling spans award-winning documentaries from Sundance, SXSW, Sheffield, Tribeca, Berlinale, and PBS. Doug is a New York filmmaker, creating politically-engaged documentary work, including for the groundbreaking campaign of US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. His credits include cinematography for To The End (Sundance), The Providers (PBS), and sound for Predators (MTV) and Knock Down the House (Netflix).
