FESTIVAL IN THE COMMUNITY
Festival in the Community
The Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival is proud to expand our film screenings with Festival in the Community, where we host free screenings of select films leading up to the festival.
It’s a chance to sneak a peek before the Festival, plus a great opportunity to introduce your friends to the wonderful and thought-provoking films Rocky Mountain Women’s Film brings to the Pikes Peak region.

Youth Outreach
The Youth Outreach program targets one of the most under-served segments of our community — at-risk youth.
Partnering with local high schools, approximately ten films are screened at each location prior to the Festival. Students complete projects in response to one of the films (drawing, painting, poem, creative writing, or additional research on an issue raised), and then attend a panel discussion with the guest filmmakers.
This program creates an opportunity for these students to experience the art and power of documentary film in a meaningful and interactive context.
