Circle of Support Exclusive Event: Behind the Scenes with Cynthia Wade
Circle of Support members are invited to join us for cocktails and conversation with Academy Award-winning filmmaker Cynthia Wade.
Cynthia has had seven films screened at the festival and we are honored to be hosting her for an evening of conversation, where she will be talking about the peaks and valleys of documentary filmmaking, including clips from several films.
About Circle of Support:
More than 30 years ago a group of women created the original Circle of Support, providing the financial foundation for our cornerstone event, the Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival. Since that time, we have grown to be more than a film festival, hosting exciting events and screenings throughout the year. Funding from the Circle of Support allows Rocky Mountain Women’s Film to provide year-round programming.
Circle of Support Members get access to private, behind-the-scenes events, early festival tickets, and the knowledge that they are the reason we can create community through film and amplify the voices of women filmmakers. Join for as little as $1/day for a year.

About Cynthia Wade:
Cynthia Wade is a documentary, commercial & fiction director who has won over 50 film awards worldwide, including an Oscar for Freeheld (2008), an Oscar nomination for Mondays at Racine (2013), an Emmy for The Flagmakers (2023), and an Emmy nomination for Grit (2020). She holds an MA in Documentary Film Production from Stanford University. She is a member of DGA and has had her work featured at RMWF events.
