Two women are starting their freshman year as college freshman, new roommates from very different backgrounds. Sydney is from Georgia, Deja from Detroit. They seem to be getting along fine until Sydney hangs a Confederate flag on her side of the room, showing off her “Southern Pride.” Black Flag dives deep into young people navigating difficult conversations about allegiance, censorship, and the price of honoring the past.
