Taxidermists

Dennis Harris and Wendy Christensen have built lives around a vocation many people never even consider: taxidermy. Harris owns a studio in rural Michigan where he constructs gravity-defying suspension mounts, and Christensen is one the few remaining full-time museum taxidermists in the country.  Both are fixtures at the biennial World Taxidermy Championships.  Taxidermists is a window into an often overlooked but surprisingly vibrant world of art, science, and competition.
