When thirtysomethings Nick and Téa experience a breakup, they’re thrust into the stages of survival. With any loss, first comes denial, especially when you’ve been blindsided by your boo. Filmmaker Notes:
2015. One of us went through a stinging breakup. The other had a best friend move in with her family after being ditched by his fiancee. This is how we dealt with it.
If you’ve ever been alive, you’ve probably gone through a breakup. Whether you initiated it or were on the receiving end of the most devastating, soul crushing news of your life, you’ve been there. So this material came directly from our own experiences and the universal truths and emotions we all endure after separation and loss.
As writers, our comedic point of view has evolved to finding the funny in life’s most horrendous situations often autobiographical. We love exploring ways of rewriting history, seeking ways to explore the humor in the darkest of times. To help us in this endeavor, we enlisted the most hilarious actors, improvisors, and comedians we know to come play with us and create a comedic guide to surviving a breakup.
