Sun Come Up follows the relocation of some of the world’s first environmental refugees, the Carteret Islanders – a community living on a remote island chain in the South Pacific Ocean. When rising seas threaten their survival, the islanders face a painful decision: they must leave their beloved land in search of a new place to call home.

Striking A Chord, a documentary from director Susan Cohn Rockefeller, brings the audience along on a band’s tour of remote American military bases in Kuwait and Iraq. They find great soldiers – men and women – forced to deal with daily challenges such as the constant threats of the ongoing war, crushing boredom and great physical and emotional distance from their families. They discover their visit, attention to the soldiers and music have a surprisingly profound impact on many of the soldiers, helping them open up to discuss their experiences.
