As an ongoing commitment to build community around film, we welcome you to explore a catalog of titles that have been shown at the Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival over the last 37 years. These films celebrate the drive, spirit and diversity of women, while sharing the stories and experiences of those often unheard or unseen.

The Fence
Featuring candid interviews with border patrol guards, ranchers, environmentalists and voices from both sides of the immigration controversy, while using humor to highlight the sometimes stark contrast between fact and political opinion, the film is a far-reaching and moving analysis of the financial, human and environmental costs the fence brings with it wherever it stands

The Fight
THE FIGHT is an inspiring, emotional insider look at how these important battles are fought and the legal gladiators on the front lines fighting them. Directors Elyse Steinberg, Josh Kriegman, and Eli Despres capture the rollercoaster ride of the thrill and defeat in these deeply human battles. When a mother is separated from her child, a soldier is threatened to lose his career, a young woman’s right to choose is imperiled at the pleasure of a government official, and the ability to exercise our basic right to vote is threatened, the consequences can be devastating to us and to future generations. THE FIGHT celebrates the unsung heroes who fiercely work to protect our freedoms.

The Flagmakers
A behind-the-scenes look at the largest American flag factory in the United States where a tight-knit team of diverse refugees and immigrants from twelve nations cut, sew and ship 5 million American flags a year. These flags fly over our government buildings, hang in our classrooms, and are carried in rallies, parades, protests, sporting events, and funerals. This is a film about the people who make our flag and follows where those flags go.

The Foreigner’s Home

The Girl and the Picture
The Girl and The Picture brings together two direct descendants of this history as Madam Xia, at 88, shares her memory with her granddaughter, her seven-year-old great grandson and with Chris Magee, the grandson of the missionary who captured her image eight decades earlier. The Girl and The Picture brings to light the power of memory to bridge generations and create a shared legacy of family, loss and survival.

The Gnomist
