I’m always fascinated with finding comedy in life’s difficult moments, especially those times where we drive ourselves to do desperate things. This story comes from seeing various types of obsessive relationships and what people do when they need attention. The most desperate thing I could think of is threatening to kill yourself, but this character takes it a step farther and actually calls for emergency assistance.In order to avoid having a super depressing short, I had to flip it and make the suicidal person a faker so we could find humor in her desperation. I’m lucky to have such talented friends who were easy to create funny characters for and even easier to spend a few days shooting with.
